Local Food Policy Resource Hub Explores the Law and Policy of Locally Grown Food
The Center for Agriculture and Food Systems (CAFS) at Vermont Law and Graduate School has launched the Local Food Policy Resource Hub, a new online resource designed to help a wide-ranging audience—including policymakers, practitioners, government officials and representatives, researchers, educators, and community leaders—understand and explore how states and municipalities across the United States are shaping laws and policies to support locally grown food. The resource hub can be found at localfoodpolicy.org.
The Local Food Policy Resource Hub covers food access, agricultural production, urban agriculture, procurement, markets and distribution, land access, food waste, and other topics within local and regional food systems. It brings together three key resources:

The resource hub is a new iteration of CAFS’s Healthy Food Policy Project with an expanded focus on all parts of local and regional food systems and an addition of state laws to the policy database.
